The initial well and a sidetrack successfully encountered oil in high-quality Miocene-age reservoirs. The Far South discovery lies just 4 miles north of BPs Constellation field, a testament to the basins dense network of prospects and infrastructure. The well was drilled in 4,092 feet of water to a total depth of 23,830 feet.
